Manual Therapy

Manual therapy is the use of hands-on techniques to manipulate tissue for the purpose of breaking up scar tissue adhesions, decreasing trigger points, and realignment of collagen fibers to promote optimal healing of injured soft tissue. Our physical therapists often use manual therapy in conjunction with strengthening and mobility exercises to maximize outcomes.

Our physical therapists are highly trained in a variety of manual techniques including:

  1. Instrument assisted soft tissue

  2. Massage therapy

  3. Stretching therapy

  4. Cupping therapy

  5. Joint mobilizations and manipulations

  6. Traction

  7. Trigger point manipulation

  8. Range of motion techniques
